Sexology Season, Wellcome Collection
What do you know about sex and how do you know it? How does research into sexual health affect our behaviour and our attitudes to sex?
An eclectic national season will link events taking place inside and outside of Wellcome Collection’s London exhibition. The Sexology Season includes three programmes in Manchester, Brighton and Glasgow incorporating live performance, films, salons, archives, talks and literature events.
In Manchester, the Sexology Season includes a programme of 35 Manchester-based events, including performance theatre, dance, live art, film, debates and talks, workshops, a themed gallery tour and three salons. To see the Manchester programme of events in full, see: http://www.wellcomecollection.org/sexologyseasonmanchester.
Sexology Season partners in Manchester include Contact theatre, Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester Art Gallery, MOSI, Wonder Woman Festival, People’s History Museum, Manchester Museum, Helen Storey Foundation, Creative Tourist, The Whitworth, SICK! Festival, The Joyce Layland LGBT Centre, and Let’s Go GlobalTV/bluSci. Most of the scheduled events will also involve a sexologist as either an adviser or contributor in public discussions.
