As part of LGBT History Month, the University of Manchester’s Martin Harris Centre will be hosting a performance of ‘The Burnley Buggers’ Ball’ and ‘Burnley’s Lesbian Liberator’ on 24th February at 19.30. These two dramas give an insight into two intriguing events in the history of gay and lesbian rights, taking place in Burnley in the 1970s.There will be a Q& afterwards with Mike Jackson from Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners, and with the writers, Stephen M Hornby and Abi Hynes.
